Aspect Ratios: When a photograph is printed on a specific size paper (8x10 or 12x18 for example...) the "aspect ratio" (photo length vs. photo height) is different. What does this mean to you? Depending on what size print you order your photo may be cropped or trimmed. This means that the final product may look slightly different (cropped) from the images seen on the website. If you want to be certain that what you see is what you get, please make sure to order a print size that matches the photo's aspect ratio. | Aspect Ratio: 2:3
Photo: 8.2megapixels (3456x2304pixels) This is a common aspect ratio of Digital SLR's and "professional" cameras On this website, photos filenames that begin with "IMG_" have a 2:3 aspect ratio. Example: IMG_4545.jpg

Aspect Ratio: 3:4
Photo: 3.2megapixels (2048x1536pixels) This is a common aspect ratio of digital point-and-shoot cameras. On this website, photos filenames that begin with "DSC" have a 3:4 aspect ratio. Example: DSC01481.JPG

Aspect Ratio 2:3 (4x6,12x18,16x24 & 20x30 prints) In the photo of the bricks, no cropping is necessary. In the photo of the plant, the gray areas would need to be cropped from original in order to make the print. |
